Camp this week was phenomenal!!!! God was working in the campers and the staff!! I didn't get any pictures of camp life since we were going all day long but I did remember to take my camera on a free time hike up to Black Butte which is like a mini mountain thing and happened to snap a couple of pictures! Hope you enjoy the pictures but it doesn't do it justice to how beautiful God's creation is!!

The entire group minus Tyler the medic who took this picture!!
The awesome counselors that took the journey
(Melissa Me John Kelsea and Daniel!!)

Just for a little perception of where we were this picture below is from the ground below Black Butte

Just some of the awesome campers that chose to take the hike which took 56 mins to hike all the way up and only 26 mins to run/jog our way down!!! (Kelsea, Moose, Annie, Hedi, and Ben!!)

Hello all,

No pictures this time just a short commentary on what has been going on. The first week has flew past yet it feels like I have been here forever already!! Everything here has been amazing! On Saturday I got to experience Portland in its grand weirdness all while sprinting past everything while doing the cityscape race. Cityscape race is a puzzle oriented amazing race style game that takes you throughout the city doing different things along the way! On Sunday I played with the praise team at HPC (Hillsboro Presbyterian Church) and then headed back to the Pownes where I spent Fathers Day with their family. Yesterday I got to see Portland again from a slightly different perspective. A group of the youth were enthusiastic enough at 10 o'clock in the morning to get up and make lunches to take down to the homeless in downtown Portland. The kids were awesome and they really were being the hands and feet of Christ! Later that night we had our first young adults bible study where we began to dive into the book of Romans and inspired great conversation among some great people. On Friday I leave for the Mid-High camp at Suttle Lake and I couldn't be more excited!! God is already doing some great things and I can't wait to see what else he has planned!!

(since I leave Friday and won't be back till next Friday, I probably am not gonna post anything until the Monday or Tuesday after I get back)
